Walking Hockey at The Park
We are adapting our game to fit in with the netball court markings in sport’s hall…………..so using the main rules as below with some extra conditions where necessary!
Rules of Walking Hockey
Details taken from Bromsgrove Hockey Club.
They were the first club to set up and develop walking hockey.
The Rules follow:
All players are restricted to walking, meaning that when in motion at least one foot must be
touching the pitch at all times.
No goalkeepers
The stick must remain below waist height
PUSHING the ball - no hitting
No physical contact (obstruction)
Small games - 4 or 5 aside
No short corners
Anyone can shoot

No sessions in holidays.
THIS GROUP IS NOW SELF RUN BY THE PLAYERS
Weekly warm up & 1 or 2 drills (passing. use the stick, control of the ball, receiving & shooting)! No running or hitting the ball - just push passes.
The walking game is simplified with less rules, using a large light weight ball
£4-5 pw
The weekly session is open to beginners & experienced ex-players.
Hockey sticks are provided. Mixed group, men & women.
Please bring water and wear suitable clothing and trainers.
